Behind the scenes of the the New York Jets this week
Without doubt this season has had lots of good press and bad press for the jets camp . Coach Rex Ryan was heavily criticized for his antics on HBO hard knocks for the use of foul language something i still have trouble coming to terms with . When did football abolish foul language ,please explain it to me . Even this season the Jets could not escape the trail of media that follow the circus that is Brett Farve . Yes the old gunslinger returned for one more season (we hope) and with him came some serious allegations relating to his time as a New York Jet "yes Brett Farve was a jet'. it seemed that the jets were having a lot of off field issues ever before game one of the 2010 season .On the field the jets were also having some problems with their star player Darrelle Revis would he come to camp ,when would he come to camp would he even be a New York Jet yes it was a media circus in upstate New York for the few weeks the Jets franchise held camp . Yet the biggest drama would happen a few weeks into the season . It became the focus of so many sports talk shows and changing rooms around the NFL , it became the most talked about episode in every work place in the east coast and west coast . It was the shameful sight of a member of the Jets back room staff trip a miami dolphin player as he was returning a kick off . The Jets back room member who was later named as the teams strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi it will forever be remembered as one of the most distasteful episodes in NFL history . The good news is Sal Alosi was this week removed from the jets organization even though the website reports he has chosen to retire . In the word many don't let the door hit you on the way out sir . In other Jets news Mike Tannenbaum held his end of season press conference and gave very insightful answers to what plans the Jets might have for next season .Questions such as the contract of Ladainian Tomlinson , Jason Taylor , Damien Woody, Tony Richardson ,Vernon Gholston all our expected to return . What was all so explained to the press was that Brian Schottenheimer would return as offensive coordinator good news i am sure for Mark Sanchez . Also Tannenbaum gave a good insight into the health of his first choice quarter back and it seems likely Mark will need surgery in the off season for his shoulder but was careful to add that they would be seeking advice before any action was taking in regards to surgery . So it seems that its business as usual for the New York Jets this week lets hope more house cleaning may be done to change public perception of gang green
