Keeping Caldwell

After the Colts lost against, the New York Jets I noticed a lot of people tweeting and talking about getting rid of Jim Caldwell.

I don't have much to say about it, but whoever is saying really needs to sit down and think about what they are saying. Sure, Caldwell called a really bad timeout at the end of the game. That call didn't make Cromartie run his kick return into good field position. That didn't injure Dallas, Austin, Hayden, Sanders, or any of the other guys that weren't with us when we played. That didn't make our replacement corner back blow his coverage for the second time in two plays. The only thing it did was give the Jets another chance to go down the field. In fact, it gave the Colts D a chance to step up and make a good defensive play. It didn't though.

When I saw the time out called, I immediately said that it was a bad call and that the Jets were going to take a shot for Edwards, and it happened. The Jets won the game off that timeout. That's no reason to get rid of a coach that led us to a Superbowl in his first year. Winning his first 14 games, and only losing 1 game that he wasn't resting people in. Caldwell is not a bad coach. His team is just beat up.

So Colts fans stop saying that we need to get rid of Jim. The last thing we need is a change in coaching. We just need to get healthy. Don't get mad. Get excited for the return of some healthy players, and a chance to do what we did last year (we went to the Superbowl last year... Just saying). Only this time we will finish off the job and get another ring.
