Vikings: Everson Griffen Arrested in L.A.

Los Angeles Police say they used a stun gun to subdue Minnesota Vikings player Everson Griffen when he allegedly assaulted an officer during a traffic spot at night.

Griffen was a 4th round pick out of USC who had been known to have some attitude problems. He was booked on suspicion of felony battery after Monday afternoon incident near the USC campus, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Officers said Griffen told them "he did not want to go back to jail" and ran away from them, who caught up with them after the chase was over. When they reached Griffen, he grabbed one of them in the groin area and they ended up having to taser Griffen. Griffen was arrested in Massachusetts in 2009 on suspicion of breach of the peace, the Times reported.
